These euhedral, free-floating crystals grew in Pleistocene clays in southern Alberta. We made a deal with a local farmer: we'd dig a slough for his cattle and he'd let us keep what we dug. These crystals are hourglass-shaped twins, one portion of which will fluoresce (and phosphoresce) under shortwave UV light.
